Verify accuracy of the pre-class roster including any accommodations with the CBT testing coordinator.
Assign student seating in the lab-thoughtfully and strategically. Give a copy of seating assignments to the CBT testing coordinator.
During Testing
Receive authorizations cards for students and distribute them to students. Ensure that cards are collected by the proctor at the end of every test section.
Help students log in.
Administer the test and actively proctor students.
Keep track of absentees.
Inform proctor when a student has finished a test section. The proctor will record that the test section has been completed and "Save and Exit" the test.
Help proctor verify that a student has completed all sections of a test before she clicks “Submit”. Submitting the test will permanently close the test and submit it for grading. Do NOT click "Submit" until you have verified that the student has completed all sections of the test.
Be an active participant in testing make–up procedure.
Follow standard test administration testing ethics.
After Testing
Check the “Raw Score” report for errors (unusual scores, student not listed, accommodations, etc.).
Return signed CBT testing rosters to testing coordinator for scheduled district CRT check in.
What if... …..a student can’t log in?
Check that they have entered the correct login and test code.
Check that they have the correct URL (the URL is printed on the Student Authorization Ticket).
Check with the test administrator to make sure the test session has been started.
…..a student exits TESTNAV?
The test administrator must resume the student.
The student must log in again.
….a student gets the blue early warning screen?
Click on the Test Monitor box at the bottom of the screen. You will then be given the option to print the responses immediately or to view the responses and their status. The questions that have a response but do not show as being saved will need to be resubmitted.
Click the Continue Testing option at the bottom of the screen. The student will be returned to the test questions and should re-answer or respond to all questions which do not show as having been saved.
….a student needs to leave in an emergency?
Click on the student’s name on the Session Roster.
Click on Mark Test Complete.
Put the reason the student can not complete the test.
NOTE: Once the Test is Marked Complete, the student’s test has been submitted and will be scored.
